Job Overview
OPay is looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Card Operations Manager to oversee the end-to-end management of its card services. The ideal candidate should have a strong grasp of card processing, vendor management, and team supervision. This role demands exceptional organizational skills, problem-solving abilities, and a results-driven mindset.
Key Responsibilities
1. Card File & Processing Management
- Supervise the generation and upload of card files to Interswitch.
- Monitor and track online card file updates in collaboration with Interswitch.
- Maintain accurate records and oversee card personalization updates with third-party vendors.
2. Team Leadership & Supervision
- Manage a telesales team, ensuring smooth customer engagement and sales operations.
- Oversee the Card Logistics team responsible for distributing OPay cards to agents and consumers.
- Supervise monthly payroll processing, ensuring timely submission for approvals.
3. Vendor & Partner Relationship Management
- Establish and maintain strong partnerships with card personalization companies and logistics providers.
- Collaborate closely with the Interswitch Card Operations Team.
- Strengthen relationships with the Verve Card Business Team and other key industry players.
4. Inventory & Audit Control
- Conduct monthly card inventory audits with card personalization firms.
- Perform routine site visits to production plants for physical stock verification.
5. Operational Process Optimization
- Enhance operational efficiency and compliance within card processing workflows.
- Identify and implement process improvements to streamline operations.
6. Performance Reporting
- Generate and present regular reports on card operations, performance metrics, and key trends.
Qualifications & Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in card operations, preferably in the fintech or banking industry.
- Deep understanding of card processing and payment systems (e.g., Interswitch, Verve).
- Strong vendor management and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent leadership and team management capabilities.
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Prior experience in logistics management is an added advantage.
