Job Description
The Fitter Operator will be responsible for the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of production machinery to ensure seamless manufacturing processes. This role requires a combination of mechanical skills and operational expertise to optimize machine performance and ensure high-quality production output.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain production machines in accordance with company safety and quality standards.
- Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and minor repairs on machinery.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues to minimize downtime and maintain production efficiency.
- Ensure proper setup, calibration, and alignment of equipment before and during production runs.
- Work closely with the maintenance and production teams to optimize equipment performance.
- Adhere to safety guidelines and regulatory compliance in handling machinery.
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs and report equipment performance issues to supervisors.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
Job Specifications
- Hands-on experience in operating and maintaining manufacturing machinery.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, pneumatics, and hydraulics.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair minor mechanical faults.
- Familiarity with safety procedures in a production environment.
- Basic understanding of quality control processes in manufacturing.
Qualifications & Requirements
- BA/HND/B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field.
- 2-5 years of experience as a Fitter Operator or in a similar mechanical role within a manufacturing company.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production targets.
- Willingness to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays if required.
